What is AI model?

An AI model is the brain behind GPT Breeze that processes your requests and generates responses. Think of it as the engine that powers all the smart features in the extension.

Why I need one?

Just like a car needs fuel to run, GPT Breeze needs an AI model to work. Without it, the extension can't perform any of its functions.

There are two types of AI models in GPT Breeze

1. API model (Bring your own key)

This is the preferred setup, because nothing beats going straight to the source.

You connect directly to the model provider’s server, using your own API key.

Here’s who you can plug in:

• OpenAI – the force behind ChatGPT
• Anthropic – powering Claude
• Google Generative AI – for all things Gemini
• OpenRouter – the buffet line (DeepSeek, Mistral, and friends)

Benefits:
